personal statement
Who I really am that you can’t see . . . I don’t do anything I don’t believe in. I care about employees and clients both personally and professionally. I work to create employee-oriented, high-performance cultures emphasizing relationships, goal attainment, and superior efficiency. I have an entrepreneurial vision and prepare long-term plans for sustained success. I enjoy creating operational systems, devising corrective actions, affecting people within my personal reach, and seeing God's glory in all I do. I understand the bottom line is important but believe it is not everything.

family

my husband
Married for over 25 years, Chris is my best friend. He knows me inside and out and still loves me. He is funny, charismatic, and an amazing dancer. Chris is a International Corporate Trainer, Leadership Coach, Educational Consultant, and now the Head of School for a small, private Christian school.

my daughter
Grace is 22 and loves music and art. She is fully bi-lingual in English and Korean as she graduated from a private Korean school just outside Seoul, South Korea (which means all of her schooling was taught in Korean). She sings all of the time so we always know where she is. If she isn't singing, you will find her reading.

my son
Lacidar is 18 and a ball of nuclear energy. Whether it's a sport, committee member, or chapel, he's always involved. He's a thinker who loves good conversation and has a really big heart. His most used line is, "I'm OK!" of which is usually heard following some large crash or bang. Lacidar is highly athletic, playing most every sport with ease. But, his true love is basketball.

my fur babies
We have one dog and one cat. They are Benji and Anna. Both have traveled the world with us but don't mind where we are as long as they are close to me, even if that means on a blanket under my desk. Anna is a certified service dog which means she is extremely well-behaved and an observer.
origin
Although born and raised in Indiana, in the heart of America, I consider my roots to be both there and in Nashville, Tennessee. I met my husband soon after moving to Nashville, we married there, and our daughter was born there. So, I actually consider Nashville to be where "we" are from.

things I love

ballroom dancing
I've been dancing since I was 6 years old. I was a professional ballroom dancers for many years. I love the movement to music and the shape it keeps me in. I love old Fred Astaire movies and dance classics such as "Shall We Dance" (the old one) and "Strictly Ballroom".

cooking
Cooking is usually cathartic for me. I can have a stressful day and wind down by cooking. I enjoy the process and the many wonderful things that can be made.

great food
I am my own foodie. I like the flavors really great food has, especially desserts. But, I find that I might not like what the main-stream food circles call "good food". I love local places where the local people have been cooking for years. That's where you find good food.

beaches
I love beaches. It's my happy place. My husband and I want to retire on an island and own a bed and breakfast close to a beach. We love the ocean, too. But, we love the beach more.

traveling
I love to travel. I love to see new cultures, eat the food, and meet the people. The world has such rich diversity to not see all the wonderful places God made.

helping people
Whether through business coaching or by being a pre-marital counselor, I love helping people. It's not the "how" I do it, it's what helping means to the other person.
